This extremely rare find will make you the king of the city.
Which is good, because that’s likely the only place it will ever be driven.

God, I’ve been looking at used pickups lately. They’re either lifted and stupid or 2wd.

My dad’s friend liked my old 4Runner he went out and got a new one. He was eager to show it off. I hopped in the driver’s seat and looked around. I couldn’t find the 4x4 button or gears. He said it was 2WD. I proclaimed it a 2Runner from there on out. He wasn’t thrilled with this.

4/5 Would bro.

I honestly don’t understand how people get in and out of these things. Do they keep a step ladder in the cab?
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:14 |

Hey! Don’t make fun of my 2wd pickemup! :)
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:19 |

I mean, could you even offroad in a brodozer like this? The tires are wider than the wheel wells, so you have very little upward suspension travel available before you shred your tire and/or fender. Right?

The irony of the brand of the lift being called cognito
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:22 |

Haha that’s awesone
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:23 |

2wd is perfectly acceptable.

needs more vulgar graphics for that last bro.

Extremely rare? sure, in the sense of bird poop collected from the south of the house only on Tuesday.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:27 |

fantastic.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:27 |

Some people do, yes. Or at least a little stool with a rope that they use to pull it back up once they’re in.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:27 |

RWD pickup is just fine for most people. But I live in Michigan and if I’m buying full size vehicle it will be as capable as capable can be.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:28 |

False.
For a lot of people 2wd is fine.
But if I’m buying a full size pickup or SUV it will be as capable as possible and that means 4x4. I will not own a full size that isn’t one.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:33 |
|
Is this actually a thing? I feel like guys who own these are all about looking as macho as possible, but pulling out a step stool to get into your truck isn’t exactly “macho”
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:34 |

Not really irony.
If you think of cognito as the opposite of incognito it fits perfectly.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:35 |

I’m talking lifted trucks in general, not just brodozers. It is a thing with lifted trucks, don’t know about brodozers though.

as a parrot owner I can tell you south-end poop from tuesdays is not really all that rare...
![]() 11/05/2015 at 11:44 |

As a road user, I can tell you that tasteless bro trucks are not really that rare.

You just know that “field” is about 12 feet behind a strip mall somewhere in suburbia.

Ahhh. My bad. I just thought it was funny

It is also king of the mowed grass.

I though the 2wd 4 runner was called the pre runner.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 12:51 |
|
I know, I’m in Chicago. I get around without issue with 2wd and snow tires, but for my next one I’ll be getting 4wd. It’s just so much more fun!
![]() 11/05/2015 at 12:57 |
|
I thought the PreRunner was a pickup?
This 4Runner was 10 years ago, so maybe they changed it after that year. It was a nice truck, but certainly not a 4x4.

You just kind of get used to the climb lol.

Just about. Some of them have retractable steps/running boards.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:45 |

That and it would flip over/not fit up most trails/scratch the paint.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:47 |

You think that’s ironic?

Yeah yeah I know Iused it wrong
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:52 |
|
As long as you’re planning to use it for on-road use only, and not in a region that gets snow. So yeah, probably 30-45% of pickup drivers could in fact make do with RWD.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:53 |

Doesn’t that defeat the intended purpose of looking cool?
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:54 |
|
Well yes but my point was more that the “stealth” chevy was incredibly ironic.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:05 |
|
I guess it depends if the intended purpose is looking cool.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:10 |

Yeah I just want some solid All Terrains (with a snow flake on em) and 4x4. Makes it a year round set of tires that won’t mind a little mild off roading either.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:17 |
|
I don’t think that would be enough in a lot of them! Unless you’re really flexible and have really long legs.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:17 |
|
I want to put some snow tires on my wife’s AWD CX-5. I think that would be amazeballs!
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:18 |
|
I’m pretty positive that without at least a stool, I could not get into that truck.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:32 |

I live in Metro Detroit - it will see lots of snow. I mean, not Upper Peninsula of Michigan snow, but still, I think we had 100 inches of snow last year (or so).
I also don’t have any intention of keeping it on-road all the time. I know a lot of the off road experience and snow experience is based on tires, but still, if I’m dealing with the gas mileage of being in a giant vehicle, I damn well better have a capable one.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:37 |
|
Hahahaha.
I say you put Mud Terrains on it
(yes I know M/T tires are terrible in snow, I just want to see how it looks with meaty tires on it hahahahaha)

Nah, I love the way that little bugger handles ... it would look cool though!
